Meet Jana . . .
Meet Jana Drake-Tornga
Jana is Texan all the way through! She was born in Fort Worth but didn’t stay there long! Her father was a pastor, and with his pastorate came a number of moves to several different states, including Georgia and Washington. She has lived in 50+ different places, finally landing outside Houston, Texas with her husband of 20+ years, Roger. She attended Howard Payne University and did a trimester at Houston Baptist University. She graduated from New Life Bible College in Cleveland, Tennessee, where she worked for Norvel Hayes Ministries and David Felts Ministries. Jana spent over thirty years as an Administrative Assistant with various companies. She was honored to assist an amazing man, Rev. Steve Seelig (former Tour Manager for Say So, who later became Point of Grace), in the Singles’ Department at Houston's First Baptist Church (HFBC). She was privileged to serve as guest soloist and worship leader for seven years with HFBC's First Place for Life. She has led and been part of several worship teams in the Houston area as well as during a summer’s stay in Scotland, and led the worship for several Beth Moore's seminars/tapings. Jana’s heart is for missions; she has been privileged to travel to over thirteen countries (i.e., Mexico, Russia, Hong Kong, China, Germany, Switzerland, and England, among others) to share the love of Jesus. Currently Jana works part time with her husband at an area construction firm. She is a Tupperware Consultant whose passion is creating jewelry.

This project is a testimony to the redeeming power of Jesus Christ in my life. Every song has special meaning in some way. There was a time I had difficulty trusting anyone, especially my Heavenly Father! Now I can freely trust my Lord and know that He knows the plans He has for me, plans to prosper me, not to harm me, to bring me hope and a future! (Jeremiah 29:11). He never gave up on me. He rescued me from a life that was doomed to destruction...He has been my faithful Redeemer, watching over me with loving provision and grace. He has caused my life to be so transformed that I can truly say, "I'm a miracle, Lord, because of You!" What an incredible realization that our Awesome God sees and knows and cares for the birds in the field, but how much more He cares for us. I love to tell of His wondrous love--it's glorious! The experiential knowledge of His love has totally changed my life. I give Him praise and glory for setting me free to love and be loved. Now I can sing from a heart that is healed and whole. He truly doeth all things well. To God be the glory!
